Seriously...does anyone actually give a fuck about this franchise anymore? Are people that stupid to keep giving them a chance? They're going to milk it. We know this. But does anyone care? Is everyone going through the motions of being a consumer whore and just hoping they don't fuck up the next one? Is consumer whorism the same as battered woman syndrome?

I still can't figure out why people pay actual money to see the Paranormal Activity franchise...so I'm guessing the answer to all my questions in the previous paragraph is "yes".

I can't wait for the aliens to wipe us out.

Me too.
I know they are suppose to scare the life out of you but couldn't tell you anymore than that.
Aliens, ghosts
Are there a number (of movies) in the series?

Best thing to happen to the Star Wars franchise since they finished the original cut of Ep. 6

I'm looking forward to seeing what Disney can do with the Star Ward universe. I'm positive about this...

Positive, as in seeing what joy reviving the anally raped, putrid lumpy cum dripping rotting corpse, that once was star warD, brings us

Can't wait.

meh, the expanded universe us already has dozens of novels, huge runs of comics and graphic novels, and the long-running clone wars cartoon. filming some of that doesn't really affect the series as a whole... so long as they don't fuck with established characters, introduce pseudo-biological bs, or complete fucktardedness ("Are you an angel?" "You can't win! I have the higher ground!") like Lucas did with the prequels.

edit: the real trick will be casting. Ford is too old and Hamill and Fisher are too busted to come back even as older versions of their characters... that means recasting (certain nerd rage) or doing an old republic storyline.

It's been mentioned it's episode VII, so safe to assume New Republic. It's not a prequel to the prequels.

Like I said, it will most likely be Star Wars: The Next Generation. Maybe they can cast Patrick Stewart as the captain of a New Republic star destroyer and he can call his bearded Twi'lek first officer "Number One". C3PO can cameo as the android second officer.

that's the bitch of it though. unless they scrap the entire expanded universe (possible), eps 7-9 are already written by Timothy Zahn in the early 1990's.

Didn't Thrawn feature in the Tie-Fighter game?

Yup.

... But that was in 1994. The first book of the series seems to have been published in 1991.

this can go two ways:

they can fuck this really bad, but there are soo many questions...
will luke train his sister?
will they start a new jedi school,
but of course, yoda mentioned it
with out evil there will be no good,
and siths will always exist,
meaning that either in film 1 or 2 (respectively 7 or 8)
the sith will rise again...
hm,,... i dont want to think about it....

I believe canon is that Luke does actually start a Jedi Academy (or Jedi Praxeum).

but there was other canon about what happened in the prequels that got changed for the movies, plus Lucas won't be involved in the new trilogy (or so he says) so who knows what they'll change.

[edit] i find it somewhat troubling that I know these things

That link is from January. He's going to be a creative consultant for the next three films, so he'll absolutely have a role in deciding what the story will be. The fact that he won't be scriptwriting or directing means that these movies have the potential to be great. Lucas is at his best when he takes a seat in the back and lets someone else do the work.

Guys, guys. Next time you watch Ep4, get Adywans version.

Apart from Memphis. You stick to being a painful nerd and wanking behind your WoW GF.

@mazda I haven't actually thought about that and you're completely right.
this might not be terrible after all. if they stick to the already written EU that is.

and even then theyll make fanbois angry because Luke is wearing the wrong color pants or whatever.
