dvd software

Post by bork[e] »

After buying windowsXp, a dvd Player, a dvd...I'm not about to buy anything to play the bastad. So what do you guys use to play dvds on your pc? Something free mind you. The below is 3 of the better apps I've found after a little bit of searching, but I'm sure there is a better I've yet to find.

EiloThek Shareware:
EiloThek wrote: * Super simple interface: You can use all features of the Eilothek with just five keys!
* Flexible input: You can use the software with your keyboard, your mouse, gamepads, remote controls, ...
* Small und fast: The download is less than 150KB and installed it takes * less than 2MB on your hdd
* Easy install und uninstall
Cliprex Freeware:
Cliprex wrote: * Beside DVD video it supports most well known video standard formats, like DIVX, XVID, MPEG, WMV, ASF, Video CD, Super Video CD and any other videofile you have the codec installed for.
* Automatic aspect ratio
* Audio stream selection
* Selection of available subtitles
* Easy chapter selection for the DVD menu
* ect ect...
ShowShifter Freeware: Early versions anyway
ShowShifter wrote: * Watch dvds, and a bunch of other bs...

edit: Not real "up to date" with all this, but I would like Windows Media to play it...everything I'm reading though requires you to buy something for it to work through Windows Media.

Not without some sort of DVD decoder, which is always third-party, nad they all cost money. But thats because WMP sucks ass.

why don't you just warez the sh*t like every other cheap f*ck on these boards? hm?

whatever you wind up doing, PowerDVD is still the ultimate, imo. worth every penny.

We all understand your love for Microsoft products, and like every other person that acts like you it is neither needed, or helpful here. You don't like them, ok...A lot of people don't. I don't like some of stuff they do, but after I turned ten I stopped posting on msg boards about how the most popular and most used OS sucked bawls and how it was totally useless.

Fucking grow up and accept the fact that Bill owns your ass on a daily basis kid.

Hmm, did I say Windows Sucks ass? No, as that would be foolish when I have a machine with XP on it that I use daily. I did say WMP sucks, and thats fact, since you can get media players with much more in the way of features, decoder support, and less bloat for the same price (free) So, in short, fuck off dork[e]

And many others (myself included) have no problem with WM10 and find that it does all we require.

On another note would you two quit snivelling?! I don't feel editing posts constantly so attack the idea, not the person.

[size=75][i]I once had a glass of milk.

It curdled, and then I couldn't drink it. So I mixed it with some water, and it was alright again.

I am now sick.

Precisely. Not going to name any here, as I don't know the legality attached to them, but there is a PM button.
