Palace Texture Pack

Post by sock »

I finished my concept map Florentine Library a while ago and I thought it is about time I release the textures, so all of you can have fun creating floating palaces in the sky!
http://www.simonoc.com/pages/materials/ ... /index.htm

The textures are a mixture of different resolutions (512x512 and 1024x1024) and there is no Q3 shader file. I think by now most people understand how to create their own and will probably want to re-arrange the textures to suit their own projects anyway. If anyone does create a shader file and want to share, then post a link to this thread. Oh by the way, Happy Christmas everyone! :D

Here is some texture examples, more on my page:

Very nice textures, I will use them on some of my maps for sure in future

btw, is this "Florentine Library" its just a 3D project made in some 3D program or a standard q3 map?
I ask because I dont see any download link of pk3 :)

All his maps are made in Q3 (I think they're technically done in Wolfenstein, but it's the same shit in the end), as far as I know.

But then again, Sock is the one who makes them, not me. I don't know for sure.

It's a Quake 3 concept map.

The Florentine Library and the Bridge Crane are concept maps made for the Q3 engine using the SD Radiant editor. I have no plans to release these maps because there is nothing to show, there is no gameplay, you see everything in the screenshots already.

Only now saw Sock's email... sorry about the lag. Indeed looking at the textures I was thinking that they could be neat when used in Jester's current map.

Doors, ceiling and wall textures and very careful use of the trims could look quite spiffy. Up to Jester though.
