When you rebuild the roof, maybe you can make it look more like a pergola. With more of a natural wood look instead of paint. Though I'm not sure how that would look with the design of the rest of the house.

Home prices around here have had double digit growth since we bought the house...
We just refi'd from a 30 year fix at 5.25% to a 15 year fixd at 2.6%.. They appraised the house 110k over what we paid for it...
