True that. Boobs are rendering perfectly scientific mathematical principles like randomness completely useless.

In any case, it's ok to be jellus.

He knows people?

I know what happens in the first three episodes as well actually, but that's more due to the fact to me having read the first 400 pages of the book. Don't think I'll be able to read ahead of the TV series though :)

Ah, i couldn't do that. I find it such tremendous telly i'm deadly afraid reading the books would ruin it for me.

I'm about to find out I guess. I read books 1 and 2 after seeing the first two seasons of the TV series, but I do find that I'm much more eager to read book three now that I really have no idea what's going to happen.

I must say that the casting, and the writing of especially season 1 is so incredibly spot-on with the books, that it hardly ruined the books for me. Only season 2 shows some relatively big changes to the book. Funnily enough I found myself thinking "wait a minute, it's not supposed to happen like that" while reading the book :)

I did find that on various Internet hangouts, people complain about season 2 diverting too much from the book, and I guess being a fan of the book makes the TV series the culprit, but I guess having consumed them in the opposite way allows me to think more freely about it and I do come to the conclusion that all changes the TV series made so far are very understandable from a book -> TV translation point of view. Some things that work in the book simply won't work on TV.

The HBO world premier is on the 31st, but they've already had the "official premier" with the cast a couple weeks ago...

Ok so episode 1 was fucking awesome, as expected  Lots of new story lines are laid out, i'm suspecting this season will be excellent.

HBO spoiled us with an open bar, so now i'm slightly hungover and not in the mood for work at all. Also i received a large Carice kutje van Houten poster, don't really know why i accepted the cumbersome goddamn thing on the way out, but it seemed like a good idea at the time. The hamster part of my brain was probably like 'Hey free stuff! Take as much as you can!'. Ah well eh.

I'm also absolutely dying to theorize about what i perceive as yet another brilliant plot twist, but i must contain myself and not be spoilery. Argh...

Wow! Great series opener! I'm excited about the new....uhhhh, race they have introduced. Makes me wonder what else there is to come.

I may go as far as to say this is the best television I've ever seen...
