What evidence of Jesus is there? I mean u know there were quite a few famous historians in Jerusalem at the time Jesus was supposively there.. He was kind of a big deal back then and his death by the Romans would have been huge...none if them mentioned it...cuz he wasn't there...durrrr...

So what about Christianity being in full swing around the time of his death ?. The Romans never talked up religions that did not suite their values so it's not out of the ordinary to find a lack of evidence for him during his existence.

We do know that Christianity was in full swing not long after his death and it's written by the Catholic hating Romans that Christians were being executed due to their faith. So where did these JC followers come from without a New Testament for reference ?

Why the eggs and bunny for a Christian holiday chumbo? Ishtar...god of sex and fertility...

And many prolific non roman historians lived in Jerusalem at the time...never mentioned any of it... Quit being a weirdo chumbo...

You want me to find you a list of other cultures that use those symbols as a sign of fertility ?. Ishtar was also the god of war and never used those symbols as her own.

And there was plenty of other competing religions at the same time, how many do you think get mentioned ?, quit avoiding my point and admit Christianity didn't spring from nowhere.

At the time? Easter was celebrated before Christians ruined the holiday...

In the same way it's celebrated in many other religions when leaves start growing on trees.

Geoff´s gone rogue.
In his desperate attempt to abandon his pathetic life, he turned to some ridiculous cult that involves worshipping "Ishtar".
I want to say it´s sad, if it wasn´t so sad.

none of them?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Historicit ... an_sources
The writings of the 1st century Romano-Jewish historian Flavius Josephus include references to Jesus and the origins of Christianity... The Roman historian and senator Tacitus referred to Christ, his execution by Pontius Pilate and the existence of early Christians in Rome in his final work, Annals (written ca. AD 116), book 15, chapter 44...
what morons don't realise is that we don't know much about almost anyone from that time. what's the evidence for Socrates' existence? Plato might have just made him up. fuck, there are people around today who doubt that Shakespeare wrote all those plays, and that was only a few centuries ago

seriously Geoffrey, just stop. set some boundaries to your seemingly limitless retardation

The pagans used the egg as a symbol of fertility, that's as far as it goes. Eggs were never associated with Ishtar and she was certainly never associated with Easter. I'm not denying that the bible created beliefs based on other religions but you're picking the wrong God and missing a few more.

I think the tricky part is getting over him being an X man, but saying that he did not exist for definite is just as clouded as the morons who believe in Christianity. You can't say the New Testament being written 500 years ? after is based entirely on fiction when there's accounts from people like Nero crucifying Christians (not Catholics). If we believe what you're telling us, this should'nt of been possible until the New Testament was written.
