i say 'lew-tenant' myself. my argument is: it's a closer approximation to the spelling which is more widely used than the bizarre 'leftenant' (please note the importance of the 'widely used' criterion before coming back with "hurr u pronounce telephone telep-hone durrr?")

then again, i wouldn't dream of writing 'color'. i like the way the UK spellings preserve the Old French etymological root: colour, couleur etc

Brits invented your country, your language, most of your constitution and a sizable part of your gene pool

what country has America created lately? Afghanistan? :olo:

Not sure if you watched Farcape but there was an episode where an Aussie was impersonating an alien military officer and for reason he choose to pronounce it leftenant. Was the first time I heard it said that way and didn't realize until much later that it was British.

It's also easier to write color instead of colour. Touché.

It's even easier to just grunt, followed up with a well placed kick to the head, to get your message across.
Using flowery shit like "words" to communicate. What faggotry
