word on the street is that the HTC one's blinkfeed sucks dick and you can't remove it without rooting the phone (which all real men should do anyway). The new Xperia ZR takes HD vid/pics up to 5.5 ft underwater, and the Galaxy S4 is very well received as well

I think he's thinking about the HTC First, which is the Facebook branded phone. HTC's naming conventions are pretty arbitrary and confusing.

Nah it's about the HTC One. Everyone was saying how shitty blinkfeed was and you couldn't remove it. I don't have one so I didn't search for how to do it without rooting. But they don't actually remove it- it still took up one of his homescreens, which is gay.

Fits in the pocket just fine and I pretty much don't need to view mobile sites anymore. Practically replaces my PC for casual browsing in case I don't feel like walking over to it.

I'm still half a year tied to my current contract, and if it wasn't for my current phone continually completely turning off for no reason, I wouldn't even have gone for a new phone at all (currently have a HTC Sensation).

But now that I do need a new one I'm thinking of going for the HTC One S. It's not a high end phone like the One (X) or the S4 or iPhone 5, so I'm not paying top dollar for it. But if you look at what it gets you (dual core 1.5GHz CPU, 4.3" screen at 960x540, 16GB Storage) then that's more than enough for what you use your phone for nowadays.

Other than the penis-envy factor, I don't get this desire people have for the latest and greatest phones. You pay through the nose for them and get hardware that you simply aren't going to put to any use. Your browser, WhatsApp, MP3 playing apps and Angry Birds certainly don't need it. And a screen nearing the 5 inches is simply ridiculous.

I admit, I like how big these personal computing devices are getting.. the only reason I didnt get the Note 2 was because the screen quality and resolution was shit compared to my LG Optimus G, and the S4 wasn't announced yet. I'm guessing the S4 has a pretty tight pixel configuration? meh, I'll just wait for another year b4 I start even looking into what's going to be available.

Hey guys I just wanted to let you all know that thanks to Facebook your phone is no longer just for apps, but it can actually be a social device as well.

I can't wait for the smartphone of the future where we can actually talk to people in real time, hearing their voice so near instantaneously that a proper, natural conversation can occur...sorta like Skype but mobile with a really fat pipe...instead of just texting friends/family through Facebook posts or SMS messages.

Maybe someone will make an app for that?
