I have a friend who is making a spy mod, was wondering what everyone's favorite game weapons are for a spy or other kind of game for that matter. I gave him some ideas for designs but i'm trying to thing of a nice range of weapon types for a spy game. I'm hoping the level design might have some open areas in it for sniping.
There's one weapon I've always wanted to see in a game like that. A device you can throw somewhere, that makes noises like a player, for distraction.
It might work on bots, but it would be best against human players, because it would make the same sounds as enemy models.

Yeah, we talked about the silencer, I was also thinking of some kind of knife for sneaking up behind people. Tranquilizer gun, good idea. Also the distraction device, very devious. Wonder how many times you could confuse someone with that before they started to catch on.
Definitely the .50 revolver, I was thinking a Luger would be great, too cause they have a stylish design. Silenced Uzi, another good design opp.
What do you think is more fun, grenades or a grenade gun?
A katana so you can sneak up to your enemies and decapitate them, a Rambo knife that slids their throat and a cord to strangle them with (all without a sound, of course).
I loved Sam Fishers whistle... Dunno why but THATs my fave weapon from stealth type games... Wouldn't work to good on humans I guess, we know whats coming, but on AI... *snap*
Shush... I'm havign a hard time not going back to the game... It called me so much i went out and brought it for PC as well as xbox... So now i have two titles... But i'm playing the PC and got quite far again, but damn, its ahrd to keep away... Such... A good... game......................ATEHHSARGASG!!!

Oh it would continue to work. It's designed to make the exact same sounds that are recorded for the enemy models when they move; so as long as it's behind somebody, or around a corner, they will think it's an enemy. That's the beauty of it!
