id Software still owns all the copyrights for Quake 3 Team Arena. The game is NOT free, though you can BUY it for pretty cheap on Steam, or get a used copy off eBay or elsewhere.

The fact's software is much more expensive than other things except for electronicals in our contry, what costs $2 in America, the same can cost 1K CZK (about $400) here for example...

For example Photoshop costs 11K CZK here (about $900), but in America it's about $200

The differences in price in different countries are much bigger than someone can expect... If I calculate the entire price the sold thing in America and the whole transport all around the world, it's much higher than buying it locally... And we are the nation of saving people, so something like expensive software is mostly forbidden. That's why czechs are more interested in getting such things for free. Yes, we want to keep laws unbroke, but sometimes it's just impossible... Well, I won't say anything about warez again, but keep in mind there are variations in nations and we all must accept this variation as it's the kind of almost unremoveable world problem... So I stand behind my opinion, but won't say about it again. Do you accept my answer?

I think the lesson you're meant to be taking away from all of this Mr Ghost, is that downloading warez is like masterbation - sure you might thoroughly enjoy it and it's certainly cheaper than the real thing, but you still are not supposed to tell others about it...

The main issue here is that you don't seem particularly apologetic. Instead of simply saying, "oops, I'm sorry. It won't happen again." you seem to try to justify yourself by saying that everybody in Czechpantshatistan are doing it so it's okay for you too. You're poor, boo hoo.

Plenty of people here have downloaded a movie or music illegally, but they aren't stupid enough to tell everyone about it or try to justify it.

Besides, your exchange rate comparisons are off. I'm not doubting that there is a difference in exchange rate and cost of living, but it's still no excuse.

We have corruption all around the bussiness and prices are getting quickly up, we simply don't have enough money to buy such things so we look for free or at least cheaper alternative... Shame on our government it's the main head of that bussiness BTW... Do you ask why we don't move to better place? I said we haven't enough money to do such things... And where it comes from? From US... We all think that we have liberty in our government, but tried anybody to carry about other aspects? What about truth? Trust? Do you trust your government? I don't. Almost every day there are minutes about bussiness and government and what our government tries to get in validity... I'm disgusted... If you knew the czech, then you'd understand these jokes at all.

Oh, and of course, now we have troubles with floods, so the situation is much worse than normally... That's all I'd say and I'm waiting for response...
P.S. - Do you trust czech organisations for given such informations? Did you try to find informations you can safely trust? My answer is NO.

Regardless, every country has it's issues. No government can be trusted or free from corruption. Canadian politics currently have several senators in trouble for illegally claiming living expenses, and the Conservative chief of staff bailing one of them out with a $90,000 personal cheque in a very secretive but leaked backroom deal. Our city's mayor is an international laughing stock for being a drunk and for smoking crack in an alleged video. Don't get me started on the U.S.
