Re: IOS7...
finder tags in Mavericks praise the fucking lord
Re: IOS7...
If the 4.8" screen size rumors are true I may stick with apple...meh..:
Re: IOS7...
The issue is that you seem to have targeted specifically Apple fanboiis in your statement when it's equally bad from both sides. Perhaps that wasn't your intention, but you sounded exactly like one of those fagboiis only from the other camp. Please refrain from sounding like a moron in the future, you have small children to care for.MKJ wrote:No, I was clarifying Pext's point. I care more about what I said in the second paragraph.
Looking forward to it as well. I've been using TagIt for adding OpenMeta tags. OS X has had some limited support for OpenMeta for a while, but hasn't implemented any UI to take advantage of it. Mavericks Tags seems to be based off of OpenMeta with some trivial differences.Big Kahuna Burger wrote:finder tags in Mavericks praise the fucking lord

Re: IOS7...
But I hear the galaxy note 3 will have a 6" screen...hmmmmm...
Re: IOS7...
Don't get all defensive, especially when calling the other party a fanboy.
I shall elqbory in a bit, after I'm done shopping and at an actual keyboard.

Re: IOS7...
I hear the s5 will have aluminum case, screen rez of 4000+ and a bendable screen...hmmm
Re: IOS7...
lol, elqbory. that should have been "elaborate". phonekeyboards are still teh suck.
First off, I didn't target Apple at all in my second paragraph; the part you commented on. It's not exclusive to Apple, it's exclusive to fanbois. Tsakali was able to get this, uncharacteristically enough.
Anyway, in no way am I a fanboy, I really don't care what company made a certain product. What jiffs me is the (fanboy)consumer who thinks everything their camp makes is not only the best, but also the first. This time it seems to be Apple, next time it'll probably be Android. or Windows Phone (lol).
If both (or all) camps would just look outside their brand they could experience all those epics features whenever they want instead of waiting for their brand to "innovate" (read: catch up).
on a personal-professional level it irks me even more. I work with a lot of Apple exclusive peeps ranging from UX to visual design. These guys will always buy the latest and greatest Apple device on day 1.. you know the type. If you would show them some feature or design element not made by Apple they will look at it, shrug, and go on using iOS as their beacon of inspiration. 6 months later, Apple released an update which contains said feature and suddenly this is Teh Greatest Thing Evar and must be included in all future projects.
Not only is this painfully annoying, it's also hurting the end user as someone on an Android device would not recognize the Apple UX elements nor want them. Yet these devices shall never be taken into consideration.
Sadly this seems to be a universal thing, not exclusive to my collegues.
Lastly, at least I know who my kids are.

It's obvious MKJ is a Symbian fanboy
Re: IOS7...
Since I just moved over to our mobile dev team I realized I can get this beta and try it out. I'll report back. Anything you guys want me to peep?
Re: IOS7...
find out how making a call is
Re: IOS7...
Call people!? What is this, the 90s?
Re: IOS7...
Yea, and the correct response to people like this is still to laugh at them, or ignore them, regardless of which side of the fence they're on.MKJ wrote:[...] What jiffs me is the (fanboy)consumer who [...]

Re: IOS7...
I do.
Re swiftkey, Have it, use it, bugs out on q3w. It'll think the cursor is at a random spot in the text field and start correcting/auto completing words halfway a sentence.

Re: IOS7...
Then maybe one of you lazy nurdz should make a mobile CSS for Q3W, not that anyone with half a mind would use it
Re: IOS7...
Already been a thread about that. Spoiler: not gonna happen atm
Re: IOS7...
I figured a prod was in order to get the kettle brewing :nangdroid; ey
Re: IOS7...
Not an app. Just an alternative styling file
Re: IOS7...
There is a new app store tab that shows you apps related to things around you (like if you are standing in a Home Depot and want to grab their app).
Re: IOS7...
There are times when that could turn out to be really awkward.
Re: IOS7...
You can block calls from a contact! Thankfully my new number doesn't get spam yet but I wanted this feature so bad in the past.
