I wonder why they were not allowed to show the back of the PS4, or was that not a real PS4? Like they said, there’s already an image of it on the official PS website.

I wonder if Sony have something up their sleeves again to upstage M$ one more time. I just know that the only feature on the XBONE80 that’s not on the PS4 that I care about is the HDMI IN. If Sony can add the HDMI IN to the PS4 (most likely too late at this stage though), I think that’ll pretty much complete the system.

I’m also not sure why they were wondering whether or not the PS4 will need a “power brick.” The PS has never had a power brick (at least all the PSes I own do not have power bricks), and they have now confirmed with Sony that the PS4 will not need one, either.

Bit of a fluff piece, really. Not one critical note?

Is that so you can use it to stream tv through it?
I never used my console to stream media, but unless your tv only has 1 hdmi port so you actually have to switch cables, I don't see how this would be a big deal. But maybe I'm missing something.

I never understood why the xbox360 needed such a monster.

Yeah that’s what most people think how the XBONE will hook up to a set-top box and be able to do all that TV shit. If Sony decides to put one in, then maybe they can choose to do the TV thing too later on if they want to :paranoid:

I think another interesting aspect of PS4 that some PS4 owners will be looking forward to is the possibility of swapping out the internal HDD for an SSD.

Wait, what?
How come one end of Sony is doing the right thing while the butt end of Sony is still doing the devil's work?

New KZ:SF teaser (I initially thought they were Rico and Jammer but apparently they're new characters):

Places are starting to stop PS4 pre-orders because they won't have enough units to for fill many more!

STFU Ge0ff; just go back to counting your wife’s dough already…

KZ2 & KZ3 are probably the most gorgeous FPS games I've played on any platform. While I'm a little concerned about the "squeaky clean" graphics in KZ:SF that has been shown so far, I’m hoping Guerrilla can deliver yet another incredibly detailed and gritty environment…

TBH I wouldn’t mind having more of the same in KZ:SF :)

In the US I think most of the major retailers have stopped taking pre-orders for the bundled/special launch editions of PS4 and XBONE, but they’re still taking pre-orders for the standard edition (with no guaranteed delivery date).

You don't play many new shooters then. KZ2 looked great 5yrs ago. I picked up KZ3 last month and it looked like a 5yr old game. That and it was bad....you sound like a fanboy.

Yeah, Crysis 1 on PC still looks better than any current console game. KZ is a blurry mess.

Seriously, KZ is bad or blurry? Let’s be a bit more objective here, shall we? In the current gen, I’ve played all 3 Modern Warfare, Black Ops 1, BF3, and MOH Warfighter, and I do think KZ looks better than all of them. Sure you do notice some low res textures at places in KZ, but they don’t really detract from the overall visual presentation. From a technical standpoint, it can certainly hold its own. From an artistic standpoint, it’s better than those other FPS IMO. I simply love the environment design and the amount of details in KZ.

KZ is a very solid and fun shooter. The only thing it lacks is a good story and character development. It’s got a little bit of everything that you could possibly want in a shooter, and everything else it does is top notch – sound, explosion, physics, animation, AI, stealth gameplay, varied environments, vehicles, mech, jetpack, and I don’t think more needs to be said about the brutal melee. I also like how you can feel the weight or mass in this game, and the weapons somehow provide that elusive visceral feel that I don’t feel in other FPS (mowing down hordes of Helghasts with the Minigun or the WASP never felt so good).

However, they did tone down the difficulty noticeably in KZ3 compared to KZ2 (at least for Veteran level and below), which may or may not be a bad thing, and firefights didn’t seem as intense (no insane finale like storming Visari’s Palace in KZ2), but that could partially be due to the improved control and the overabundance of ammo crates. One thing I was really disappointed with was that the Arc Rifle (the lightning gun) from KZ2 was not available in KZ3.

As for Shadow Fall, I have to say I wasn’t overly impressed with what they’ve shown so far. From a technical standpoint, it looks great, but I don’t like the art direction they’re taking. I’m not sure I like that new assault rifle they showed in the demo either. I hope they don’t turn KZ into a too futuristic shooter. I also felt the character animation took a step back. It’s as though they have an entirely different team developing the game. The jungle level they showed during E3 looked a bit more promising. I just hope Guerrilla can prove me wrong.

I'd like to add Bulletstorm to the equation. That game looked awesome, but more importantly felt awesome. Both the speed of the game vs the number of moving entities and the overall aesthetic of the environments is impressive. Don't really care if the game uses triple pass pixel lighting with megatexture tech and real time hair refeaction.. the end result is 10 times better than 'yet another modern warfare shooter'.

PS4 passes FCC certification with a reported max clock frequency of 2.75 GHz "in the system."
