What America does, Britain is soon to follow.

We had a General come out to the Guardian the other day n all explaining how we could and should have proceeded with peace talks after the initial collapse instead of waiting a decade. It's like the council with guns, planes, tanks, boats etc

Why yes of course, several, consult your Googlemachine.

Was an honest question, i'm quite curious how the American media is selling this after years of sunshine reports on how awesome it was all going... it's not even been an item on the daily show, so that's what made me think it's not news at all?

Don't mistake my bitter tone in the question for USA bashing or anything, it's mostly because my cousin went there twice and returned heavily tanned and a bit fucking weird.

A lot of my family and a few mates ended up in atleast 1 of those shitholes and they all point the fingers at our government for fucking it all up. My 1 mate ended up in a military prison for 3 years after refusing to do a 2nd tour, he's the only 1 that came back with more than a few marbles left.

My one uncle was working with the local population in around 06 ?, I think I mentioned him to you lot I doubt you remember. I know between tours he was ranting about how we need to integrate into the population which the bulk of our army was refusing to do. He now hates our country to the point that he doesn't live in it anymore.
