Context...or I'll bomb your house into the ground, missy.
Re: The European Union
The only powerful argument is "free trade".
Free trade we also had 30 years ago, without fucking EU interference.

You have no stake in this.GONNAFISTYA wrote:Context...or I'll bomb your house into the ground, missy.
I'm afraid cunts who *DO* have stake in this also don't give a fuck, although they should.

Since you won't provide a link for some unknown reason, I'll do it for you.

Re: The European Union
So what's the problem ?
It's the EU, a committee so inept you won't even notice them.

Yeah cute, just a matter of time before you're also euro-borged.
But enjoy your independency, while it lasts

Here's some reading so that next time you won't come off as a totally unreflected moron.

I fail to understand why we let corrupt, poor Balkan nations into our increasingly fucked up little club, yet make a giant hassle out of Europe's fastest growing economy, Turkey.

For him it works out better I believe, a bankrupt nation with bank loans guaranteed innit ?
For Britain, I like it as a layer above our government and I don't think our government would put the money saved to better use
Kinda like the Royal family

Re: The European Union
free trade is bad mmkay?
Re: The European Union
I thought free trade was already implemented by the EEC ?, or someone before the EU
edit: just checked, I thought the EEC was still an option for countries not in the EU but apparently it was included into the EU when it was formed in 93 and later abolished in 09.

Are there any options for countries not in the EU atm ?, It's strange that I thought they did
Anyway, countries outside the EU like the Swiss seem to be doing alright by building their own agreements with nations / the union.

Celebrated, non-stop greed destroyed the world. Free trade was simply the mechanism.scared? wrote:Free trade has destroyed the world...

Re: The European Union
scary thing is, when we have the Euro referendum, all the closet xenotards will come out in force and vote 'no' to continued membership, and this country will get even worse than it is now as it's taken over by Daily Mail readers
irony: some of the same people who want the UK out of the EU want Scotland to stay in the UK. lulz

Re: The European Union
I never really gave the idea of us leaving much merit, we're not that stupid are we ?
edit1+2: Seems like predicted results vary. Still, if Britain left the EU Wales would would be fucked and we'd get nowhere near the kind of support we're getting now.
With our governments antics over the years, who the fuck would want to see more power to them ?... unless they force us to take the Euro anyway
I might vote for Wales to leave the UK in the hope we can get back into Europe through the back door ;]

Re: The European Union
Why is that such a certainty?seremtan wrote:vote 'no' to continued membership, and this country will get even worse than it is now
It wouldn't be a vote to cut off relations with other EU countries, but a vote to stop a central non-democratically chosen body from imposing legislature on sovereign nations.
I really don't understand this mantra of "if we quit we're in the shit".
Seems like such a defeatist argument.
Re: The European Union
well, for a start, there's being left out of any free trade agreement with the US (and no, they won't want to negotiate a special one just for us); then there's the increased barriers to movement between UK and Europe, making decent vacations harder work, and keeping out all those continental Europeans who keep this country from being an ethno-linguistically homogenised wasteland of ugly people with bad teeth; also there's the fact that to get free trade deals with the EU we'd need to jump through their hoops anyway, only this time we'd have no input
i really don't understand this mantra of "if we quit, everything will be sunshine, lollipops and rainbows"
seems like such a short-sighted argument parroted by little Englander retards

Trust me a country like yours will only benefit - social projects, guaranteed funding, help with enterprise and loans / bail outs with a goal of increasing GDP.Plan B wrote:Why is that such a certainty?seremtan wrote:vote 'no' to continued membership, and this country will get even worse than it is now

You make it sound like some tyrannical power swallowing Europe when you can opt out anytime you wish, just like the Greeks threatened to do and what the Brits are currently thinking of doing. They don't even have an army ffs and the rules that EU impose are probably rules you should have already or extensions on ones that you already have. What ones do you have a problem with in particular ?
They're not saying you can't make your own laws you just can't make laws that infringe on things like Human Rights. Guess what happens if your country does something like that ?, you won't be in the EU for long :]
