American TV station KTVU is being sued by Asiana Airlines (the airline whose plane crashed in San Fransisco a week ago) because of making what they call a discriminatory joke on television. Here's the segment in question:



KTVU claims the National Transpiration Safety Board confirmed these names, so I'm not sure if it was a prank on the NTSB's side, a prank on KTVU's side or if a bunch of people have really been proving once again that these days journalism is basically just copy/pasting stuff from the Internet.

Could be the NTSB is just covering its ass, of course.

Asiana Airlines should just concern themselves with the crash itself, and not these side issues.

I read that the chicago times got condemned for using the headline "Fright 214", a play on "Flight 214". why? cos it's racist to replace an L with an R, and seeing how this was an Asian flight surely this was what the editor was getting at.
