OK initiative i guess, although it's a shame science apparently has to be wrapped in a sensational explosive format to get some attention.

FIFY.

Feels wrong that it's coming to Fox... like somehow it will be corrupted with creationism or something.

Fox can be uncharacteristically non-douchebaggy at times.
Like with The Simpsons. Other examples elude me right now.

Anyway, weirdly Neil has become this sycophanted science figure, so I hope he didn't just sell out.
Of course there will be explosions and effects to sex things up, but if he gets free rein, I'm sure things will be at least somewhat accurate.

The Simpsons was supposed to be a parody of the nuclear family, but they ended up putting a cartoon God in it approving of everything the main characters did. Citing The Simpsons as an example of Fox not succumbing to creationist douchebaggery does not therefore hold water.

Carl Sagan's wife is one of two executive producers. She and Carl met when they both worked on the first Cosmos series. The trailer is lame - hope it doesn't portend the quality of the new series.

Thanks xer0s.
I have to add, Carl Sagan has a great voice for this sort of documentary :D
