Lol google chrome...

Post by scared? »

Seeing the passwords is achieved simply by clicking on the Settings icon, choosing “Show advanced settings…” and then “Manage saved passwords” in the “Passwords and forms” section. A list of obscured passwords is then revealed for sites – but clicking beside them reveals the plain text of the password, which could be copied, or sent via a screenshot to an outside site.

I never liked Chrome. I uninstalled it about an hour after using it and never went back.

Firefox has had the same setup? I mean you could hide the button if you went to a lot of trouble, but this is p. much the norm for browsers.

I only let it save passwords for sites that don't matter anyway. Enjoy seeing my qwerty21 password for quake live.

I gave up on browser password caching months ago, and have disabled it in all browsers. LastPass FTW.

Erm, Firefox stores the passwords in an encrypted manner and only allows you access to them if you know the master password (which obviously isn't saved). Doesn't Chrome work the same way?

It appears the master password is not mandatory. You'd have to be a massive moron to save passwords without protecting them with a master password. In other words, your daughters are morons, but I guess that's a given with ancestral genes like those.

My girlfriend uses my desktop but I set her up with her own Windows user. Partly because I'm on Windows 8 and login with my Hotmail account but it is nice having things separated.
