how long does it take walt to open a god damn door? why the fuck are we watching marie in the therapist's office for 5 minutes?

what?! the episode was full of plot progression.

small spoilers:

1) We now see that Jessy is willing to sleep with the DEA to take Walt down.
2) We learned that Hank, Skyler and even Marie are willing to get their hands super dirty to get their respective jobs done. (which interestingly brings them down to Walt's level ...they are no better.)
3)And we found out that Walt indeed cares for Jessy, regardless of the situation he was in...but ultimately in a moment of great misunderstanding both Walt and Jessy are now getting pushed further apart, and elevating their situation.

he was going to meet with jesse to give him one last chance. Jesse didn't want to play ball, now walter is going to put out a hit on jesse.

now back to the poolside where junior gets teary-eyed. waste more air time with that, please.

don't forget that he pulled the poison from the outlet cover... we still have to get from here to there and at this rate, well... we may never get there.

I find it amusing that for the last few episodes, everyone's solution for their problems has been murder except for Walt. Skyler and Saul want Jesse dead, Hank and Jesse want Walt dead (even Marie is fantasizing about it), yet Walt himself was trying to save Jesse until he spotted that "Assassin".

How in the holy fuck did Hank and Gomez not get torn to shreds instantly? The one dude was firing an AA-12 (automatic 12 gauge shotgun) for christ's sake! Todd can drop a kid in a single twitch shot but he can't hit anything with a couple clips?

That gunfight is the single dumbest moment in the history of the series.

also I'm calling it now...redneck mafia guys kill the mexican and take hank and Jesse and his money hostage to force Walt to cook. The flash forwards are Walt gearing up to bust them out.

Why don't you ask Hank for his opinion on it?

It won't happen because it goes against everything the show has been about: to turn the protagonist into the antagonist. It is the main arc of the story, ffs. If Walt saves Hank and Jesse then he will revert back to the protagonist and completely undermine what the show has been doing this entire time.

Why are you so stupid?

If it does come to pass that you're correct in your prediction, then I'll call it now: Breaking Bad will have a worse, more lazily-written ending than "Lost" did.

You could see it starting to happen when he called off the hit. He doesnt want to kill Hank, hes family and you know he still was regretting having to put down Jesse. I can see a shot at self redemption for the finale.

Hank tells the crew about Walt's money in an attempt to buy his life. They all dig the money up at gun-point but then the crew kills Hank, and Gomez anyways. They capture Walt and try to bring him back to cook for them. Walt might try to bargain for their lives, especially needing Jesse to cook. Somehow Walt gets away, probably a clever lab accident, but Jesse is killed in the process. The opening we saw where he had the machine gun is showing him coming back to kill the crew and take his money back. But he won't win. Walt dies in the finale.

perhaps. I will be really disappointed if Hank or Jesse die.
Hanks phone call was such an obvious "goodbye forever before I die", it had to be to throw people off and add to the week of suspense. IIRC the show hasn't been that predictable yet.

You could be right...I guess we'll find out soon enough.

However, according to an interview from years ago of one of the creators, Walt doesn't initially want to do ANY of the horrible things that he's done on the show. His transformation into "the bad guy" character is painful for him. The reason Walt turns into the antagonist is because he see's that, after the horrible deed is over, he can justify it perfectly to himself and ultimately support the horrible things that he's done over the series, and would probably do them again if given the chance.

And that's why Walt, when initially calling off the hit and screaming for the gunman to stop, will most likely agree it was the best thing to do if Hank and Jesse don't survive past next week's episode.

If Walt actually saves anyone but himself I'll shit a brick.

Is it just me or did everyone in that shoot-out scene have ridiculously large magazines? None of them ever reloaded yet Hank alone must have fired off a few dozen rounds with his handgun...
