Places to eat in NYC?

Post by Transient »

Anyone at Q3W been to or live near Manhattan Island? I'm taking a trip down there to see some sights and I was wondering if there are any little diners or restaurants where I can get a good meal. Also, tips for avoiding scams/traffic/bullshit are most welcome. I got a CityPASS, so the basics are covered for touring.

Do I really need to elaborate? Sigh.

I'm curious to find any hidden gems or places that anyone knows of that may be off the beaten path or not heavily advertised. If someone lives in the area and eats at a specific diner regularly and can suggest something off the menu, etc etc.

I'm heading over in a few months time too, so it would be good to get some recommendations. I'm after a good pizza place and a good steak house. Only there for 3 days before I head over to Vegas so I want my food to be top notch

Go here. It is fucking killer. It is good enough to warrant a subway ride from wherever you're staying.

This was place was good if you end up over by Time Square but its nothing amazing.

Well if you don't get an authentic slice of NY Pizza then you fail at tourism.
