that kit is half the kit it replaced

the real excavator was the discontinoud 8043 but they seem to have brought it back http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.js ... age=family

4 motors and 2 recivers and a heck of a gearbox!

I was going to suggest the 8110 because it was probably going to be end of lifed after this season but now they seem to be killing the collectors market by re-issueing the big kits.

check the 8043 sold listings on ebay!

my kids have been out of it now but I grabbed 9396 and a 42000 when they were on 30% off , I may grab my guy a 9397 for fun because he had a passion for it when he was into it, so for nostalgia sake ey he can assemble these things very very quickly.

I myself have an extra unimog because I thought it was cool " Mercedes licensed property" the excavators were selling for double before the reissue! still tho my guy loved loved loved the unimog very fun kit, the 9398 4x4 crawler is a great kit as well

not a shit was given by my guy for the 42009 crane tho
it is about time!

@ plained

that kit is half the kit it replaced - certainly is

the real excavator was the discontinoud 8043 but they seem to have brought it back - they are near $600 AUS

I was going to suggest the 8110 - It is ugly isn't it?

... killing the collectors market by re-issueing the big kits - Not nice :smirk:

check the 8043 sold listings on ebay! - Yes, they are about and a nice set

I myself have an extra unimog - nice set but not for me

the 9398 4x4 crawler is a great kit as well - Hey that's looking pretty good

The crane 42009 is winning so far but I just found that I'd love to drive a tank :D

Nothing for me.

Bought the wife some scentsy crap. Apparently they love this shit for some reason.

Kids are each getting a nintendo DS and a dozen games.

After xmas though come January I'm either getting an xbox one or a PS4. Still on the fence.

This year I bought myself a bridge camera (Canon SX50 HS) and last year I bought myself a 3-screen gaming rig/driving sim/flight sim.

Now that's an idea :!:

A new lens for my Nikon.
A low f stop/large aperture is calling me as I do want to get into some descent photography soon.

If you don't have any lens filters, treat yourself to a few of those as well. Call them stocking-stuffers.

Brilliant idea and a big thanks GONNAFISTYA.
I have looked (considered) lenses for a while and never thought to throw some in filters

Hmm, a polarizing filter? Yes, on digital cameras it has to be a circular polarizing filter I have read.

I recall too, a polarizing filter reduces the amount of light hitting the sensor by at least one f stop, and in some cases as much as two f stops.

Any camera people confirm comment for me :D
