Pretty harrowing photo of the guy after he went down to 72 meters, surfaced, then blacked-out, never to regain consciousness. Not a face you'd forget quickly.
Two months ago, as Mevoli won a silver medal at the world championships in Greece, he was temporarily frustrated with his performance and mental state. In a blog on http://www.usfreediving.org, he told of wandering the city streets after a constant-weight dive to 75 metres, occasionally spitting blood on the pavement. He wondered why he was so consumed by reaching tangible depths.
“Numbers infected my head like a virus and the need to achieve became an obsession. Obsessions can kill,” he wrote.
Have to really admire him. I scuba but I've often thought about free-diving because of the freedom it gives you. You can actually go deeper more easily and more often than with gear because you aren't breathing once you're under and thus don't have to worry about decompression sickness.
Dude listen... I'm seriously done arguing with you because you're too fucking dense ok? I used to think you were cool, now I think you're kindof a complete twat that has no original thought. Every thread I post in dissolves into this drivel every fucking time and I'd say 90% of the time your posts don't even make any logical sense. I don't know if it's a local linguistic issue or if you're truly that stupid but please. If you feel so inclined to moan about how there's no VW GTI please do so in it's own thread or just PM me. I'm not lawl or scared or anyone else that's looking to discuss the same fucking topic in every fucking thread that's created.
You could just say you don't own one and we can all move on instead of crying ?, I can see why you'd have difficulty understanding most things if it took you 2 replies to work out my GTI reference n all
