a real tree?Doombrain wrote:Me too, £70 blooming quid. Robbing bastards.
this is the first time in 10yrs we didn't buy a real tree. $280 7.5' prelit. no needles and tree sap to clean up..ezpz. smaller than I wanted though. after Xmas I want to find a 12' ft for next year and just put this in the back room.

I can't remember the last time I had a real treeMemphis wrote:lol traditions.
Our current one has been with us about 12 years. It is one of those fibre optic ones so doesn't need lights. I will take a photo soon for the My Christmas Tree topic as I am sure one will appear.

Pre-lit trees? How lazy can you get
Re: Buying a present for yourself this Christmas? Care to share?
That might be true if you decide not to get a tree at all.

they did decorate and they have special ornaments you just cant see them very well in the pic
Re: Buying a present for yourself this Christmas? Care to share?
rofl why would you buy one without lights if you had the option to get one with lights perfectly wrapped on every branch?MKJ wrote:Pre-lit trees? How lazy can you get
Re: Buying a present for yourself this Christmas? Care to share?
did you redo all your kids placements and all that? eeyy c'mon let them doit thier way!
perfectly? THATS A RED FLAG! lol
one reason for no prelit is there is no controller for the mellow light dimming and all that

half if not all the fun of a tree (which is not a lot I agree) is decorating it, together with the kids.

Ripping the lights off and making a complete god forsaken mess is half the fun of getting a real tree... Also, taking it down in February because you know you're going to find pine needles in places you didn't know you could get pine needles for the next 2-4 months.EtUL wrote:When they die they're a bitch to remove.shaft wrote:rofl why would you buy one without lights if you had the option to get one with lights perfectly wrapped on every branch?

Just get a fake one that needs decorating. Win / win, not only do you get to decorate it but you also have to build it from a flatpack with no instructions
Fuck pine
Fuck pine

My friend has 3 dude roommates. They set up their fake tree while she was at work... Forgot the middle section completely.
Sombrero and stockings are a nice touch though.

Glad to see some things haven't changed. The instability of this place is always completely reliable.
