Interesting development or just keeping up?

Today at CES, Sony revealed PlayStation Now, an all-new games streaming service that will allow "classic" PlayStation games to be played across current-gen PlayStation hardware, as well as directly on other non-gaming platforms. PlayStation Now harnesses the power of Gaikai, the company Sony purchased for $380 million back in the summer of 2012.

if it's buffered properly and part of the engine gets installed locally (to counter input lag), this might be awesome.

They're using Gaikai tech so it'll be good.

Interesting but not at all surprising since the purchase of gaikai was a big deal.

and they announced this feature when they revealed the ps4.
so no surprise, this is just the first time they talked about it as anything concrete.

2014 Bravia tv's will support PSNow out of the box. that's actually pretty cool, just buy a Dualshock, get a PSNow subscription and start playing games.

What is also quite incredible is that a console that 15 years ago cost £200 is now an addition on a standard TV.
