This genre of game has already been well established by indie devs. The Penumbra and Amnesia series are both based upon sneaking around to solve puzzles while avoiding really scary shit. Aliens is a great IP to set in this type of game, but you also need a really strong story to back it up and sadly I can't see that happening here.
