The coverage is pretty shit so it makes sense. The only live shows are all in the middle of the night, then they switch to regular programming but with a ticker at the bottom spoiling all of the results.

I don't mind a comprehensive tape delayed show at prime time viewing, but it's 2014 ffs, give us live stream options for stuff. And don't spoil the results on a damn ticker.

They're plan for programming is literally what you'd expect to see in the 80s.

It's NBC, which is now owned by Comcast. They only give you the highlights on the "free" station and expect you to have cable so you can view the actual events on all the other cable only NBC channels.

Yeah, they're saying their hotels and other accommodations are sub par and most are still under construction.

Vladi looked pissed last night at the opening ceremonies, after they botched the Olympic rings. Heads will roll...

So the company that I worked for on the London Olympics ceremony is the same one that did this ceremony too, only this time I wasn't on board. ...Coincidence that it was a shambles?

We've got like 8 free live streams here. But I guess live coverage isn't really useful when that's the middle of the night for you.

As for the Putinlympics, there's so much corruption involved with organizing them, it's not even funny anymore.

I didn't see Russia making any jokes after the 2010 embarrassment in Vancouver. Yanks and their northern bitches should grow up.

I had no idea Russia was so third world. The toilet paper thing is something you see in Mexico (poor plumbing and sewer systems). Pathetic...

yea i know protocol dictates i should do nothing but nit-pick and complain about it regardless of any value, but i have to
admit that that opening ceremony was by far the best i have ever seen

what a spectacle of cash , scale , size, creativity and human spirit.

that visual representation of Kazimir Malevich painting was brilliant.

just fucking massive and impressive and i dont get impressed easy.

but yea there are huge major issues that need to constantly be reminded of is bee in a honey, stuck bathroom door, shitty hotels, dirty water.

fuck that shit NEVER happens anywhere else ey

ey pile on ey!

I thought China in 2008 was more impressive. The drums gave me goosebumps...
