I couldn't afford? LOL! How about I'm fiscally responsible. I'm at a point where I save over 1/2 my income. So I could surely afford a nicer car. I also know I'm not doing better than everyone here. yea but how far does your go? does it go to 180? you seem very reluctant to disclose this information. my guess is your speedo doesnt go to 180 and you are to ashamed to admit it. your attempt at downplaying the importance of the speedometer range is another proof of that.

In relative terms, the Quattro system in your car is mid range, so no not so simple when it comes to the electronics that drive it, but the basics of the system is quite simple. Not as simple as say, the Honda CRV which about 90% of the time is a front wheel drive car. It is only when the front wheels start to slip that it becomes "4 wheel" drive. A small clutch is used to connect the prop shaft to the rear diff when slippage occurs and disengages when things go back to normal. Your system is way way way more sophisticated than that.

But I was talking in systems, so there are many levels of ATTESA just as there are many different levels of "Quattro". The one in the R8 is far more advanced than yours but you could argue that is Quattro and you are right, but I don't think you'd do such a thing as it would be ludicrous to do so and you know it. The 4WD systems used in Range Rovers of all sorts are far more advanced that the one in your car and have been for about 10 years.

You did say (and I quote) "It's possibly the worlds best traction control system". And I wasn't trying to shit on anything. I happen to like A4s, Audi's in general and think yours looks very nice. I am a huge VAG fan and have own several VWs, Seats etc myself. But you did over hype the Quattro bit as a major "thing". You have a good car, be happy with it

Not that I think you were trolling or understand why you were given a warning considering the amount of shit on this board, but calling his wagon a tractor without even mentioning engine types / car size and placing importance on how far a speedo goes is a bit thick
