The makers of BioShock downgrading the company. Thoughts? Feelings? Franchise fans?

I thought they were fairly popular

It's not about sales, shaft. It's about Levine pulling the plug and wanting to do something else.

I have a huge amount of respect for that man and think he's a genius. I'm interested to see what he'll come with in the future. As for Bioshock, I think Take Two will hand it to other developers and it'll go down the crapper qualitywise.

Also curious to see what happens.

BioShock creator Ken Levine said today that he plans to move on to smaller, narrative-heavy games that will be released digitally.
that seems like a great message. the worst part of bioshock infinite was the fps gameplay.

It just shouldn't have been called Bioshock.
Why not? It's as much Bioshock as it could be. It may not be the same mood and atmosphere as the original, and the feel to the gameplay might be different, but the narrative is as pure Bioshock as you can get. I much rather have that than have 15 different Call of Duty games that all look and play exactly the same but, oh gosh, we're fighting Muslims instead of Russians this time!!!1`
