People are growing out of the need for marriage. Relationships don't typically work in that fashion anymore. That's why there are so many devorces. Today, men don't depend on women and women don't depend on men, like they use to. Let me explain.

Men are typically visually stimulated, don't like to cook or clean and enjoy being "taken care of". Women are typically emotionally stimulated, love being given attention and have a desire to nest. These needs are what brings couples together and keeps them together. Today men have internet porn, TV, and other forms of media to stimulate them visually. There are retaurants and other services to take care of their other needs. Women, who have clearly evolved more than men, still require emotional stimuli. But todays women aspires to something more. In doing so, she loses most of her desire to nest and need for attention. She now strives for equality in every aspect of life, which makes her competitive for power in the relationship. All of this of course ends in a nasty mess. The man neglects the woman, the woman neglects the man and since the age old necessity for one another no longer exists, the couple splits.

Being married ruins a lot of things and having kids only makes the relationship worse. My advice to anyone would be, "Don't get married and fuck what you have up". Being married seems to be an old tradition that isn't working very well in today's society.
