Hope you at least get to touch that Oscar or shove it down your pants at least once. Then again, if you wanted to, I bet you can model one out in clay and cast it to make your own.

Haha, cheers. The guys that deserve it are Framestore who did all the digital stuff pre and post. Knowing first hand how little we physically made makes their work even more impressive, pretty much everything that wasn't the inside of a capsule was digital.

I'm glad it won, it deserves the recognition and so does Alfonso, he's certainly a man in charge who knows what he's working towards. One might say he keeps the whole project in mind.

Finally watched it. Awesome visuals. Were those interiors based pretty closely on the real things?

Gonna have to wander past Framestore tomorrow then and see if they've splurged on boasting material :)

Yeah, they're basically replicas, but a 3rd bigger so that there's enough room to get a camera in.

The capsules were modular (like an orange cut into segments) so they could take any of the walls away to get a camera in from any angle. In the dream sequence, the shot was so long and uncut that camera ended up pointing at the position that it had previously been in, we were following it round replacing sections and opening up new ones as the scene changed so it looked like a sealed unit.
