Re: The Stick of Truth
Well, the game works like this:
Take your stick.
Pick someone who you suspect has been lying to you. Your parents, children, significant other(s), etc. Consent is optional.
Beat them with your stick, vigorously, until they give you your desired quantity of "Truth" for a value either defined by yourself, or one of their own choosing.
Congratulations.
You now know the Stick of Truth game.
Other variations upon the theme are acceptable, as long as the stick continues to play a central role. Inserting the stick into an orifice of your choosing is a popular modification to the game.

So no one here watches south park and/or has opened steam in the last week...
Re: The Stick of Truth
I've been waiting for this game since it was announced. I loved the joke they made about the delays during the Game of Thrones special.
I obtained the game but only have about 15 minutes into it so far. Hopefully I can get some more time in soon.

I'm watching the stream on Joystiq - looks good!
Re: The Stick of Truth
yeah, watched a bit of a stream of this earlier, some South Park kid fighting the underpant gnomes. was strangely compelling, but not enough to buy
Re: The Stick of Truth
i think the grossest part of the game was turning on a huge anatomical vibrator to break down a wall of shit while inside mr. slave's ass.
Re: The Stick of Truth
Game was really funny. Glad I got a copy and played through it.
Glad I didnt pay full price though. Short as shit.

Yea man that whole part was awful and hilarious. The abortion clinic was great. And the switch going up to Canada. I'm really glad Randy has such a prominent role in the game too.andyman wrote:i think the grossest part of the game was turning on a huge anatomical vibrator to break down a wall of shit while inside mr. slave's ass.
My only complaint is that there really wasn't any tuning done. It has the upside of being fun, but the downside of not being challenging at all. Cash is entirely pointless and aside from bigger boss fights I can kill anything in two turns. Speed potion is insanely OP, as is bleed damage.
Re: The Stick of Truth
what difficulty did you play it on?
Re: The Stick of Truth
I wasn't aware you could change it...So I guess that would explain it.

Re: The Stick of Truth
To be honest, even on Hard most fights don't last more than a couple of turns, but I think they designed it that way. They wanted short, sharp bursts of fun rather than long, protracted wars of attrition.
