The fact that your posts that I'm referring to are on this very page kind of debunks your fantasy theory blubberboy. Go do some arm curls in the smith machine. :olo:

Training has resumed after coming down with actual flu. I was a write off in bed for a week and I've been coughing stuff up for quite a while. Still, looking to make quick progress and get back to some form of normality when it comes to training.

Looking at picking up some Oly lifters when I get over to the states - anyone got a good recommendations? I'm looking at you Andyman/Feedback

Seen a few people with those; think they'll be mine soon enough. Reputable American sellers so I can grab them on my travels?

Ended up getting Rebook CrossFit Lifter Plus

Having ate all the cheesecake the US had to offer, I am embarking on 8 weeks of quite intense training to shift some of the poundage I put on;

Swimming 3 times a week (Monday, Wednesday & Friday @ 6am)
CrossFit 4 to 5 times a week
Two 3 mile runs a week

This will be along with very clean eating. I will keep you posted results wise regarding body fat, general fitness and strength

What do you call it? "Watching on with jealous eyes as those people who are less aids ridden than myself are able to run, lift weights and generally have fun"?

For me it's training. Deal with it.

If you're on a program that is actually training your body to become progressively more adapted, and it looks like you are, then you're training.

just don't fall for that AMRAP nonsense.

What kind of movements and weights are you doing AMRAP with?

What ever is programmed - AMRAPs on the whole are not heavy, usually two or three movements. Any weight related stuff is either light with medium reps or medium weights for low reps

You can't tell Crossfitters anything. They are hypnotized by the communal experience and/or their Jesus (ie. their "Box" coach). They'll swear up and down that they're performing every exercise correctly and never using too much weight. They'll swear they're never exercising for time or past the limit where fatigue makes the exercise unsafe. It's only when they experience a debilitating injury (which WILL happen) that they might stop and examine what they are doing to themselves. Never mind the fact that maybe 1 in 1000 of these so called "certified coaches" is qualified to asses the fitness level of every person who enters their "box" and design an individual routine for that person. Giving someone a "WOD" and expecting them to use their physical limitations as a governor is just plain stupid. Especially when you have the additional pressure of 30 other people in the room and your so called coach pushing you to go further. Almost no one in that position is going to make the right decision about repetition/weight/level of exhaustion at risk of looking weak or inferior. I've heard many personal accounts of people exercising until they puke because of the pier pressure. Ultimately Crossfit is a very cultish commune that usually encourages people to over stress their bodies to the point of injury.
