it's a Line6 JTV 89 Variax. it plays very fluid thanks to it's smooth neck and frets. it sounds great as is, but the beauty of the guitar is that is has a digital sound processor making it possible to emulate and modulate the sound to a wide variety of guitar models, tunings and combinations thereof.
it comes with a bunch of software where you can mix the sound to whatever you want; body type, pickup positions etc and then save it into the guitar.

whizbangery I tell you. now i just need to replace my budget amp to something to do this justice :)

That does sound like some whizbangery... so can you plug the guitar straight into a power amp and just go, in theory? Or do you still need a pre-amp? Give us clips! :@

that sounds neat , ive read a lot of people say those thing work great and the line 6 stuff gets respect
