i've got a shit load of files that are 0 kb's in my c:\windows dir...

Unidentifed Virii FTW!

just checked add/remove and i got that damn home assistant but i cant remove it

can i manually del those files ? theres over 14k of em

my dad uses it sometimes to read 2 news sites, and i'm very positive thats its those 2 sites doing it cause when he doesnt touch it everything is fine..

i take it all of em are 0 kb's is because zonealarm blocked em.

also ran a deep scan and found 9, removed 7 quarantined 2

c:\windows still has 14.811 files

My two week old install has 12,800 files in C:\Windows. If yours has been around for any length of time then it stands to reason. Make sure System Restore is disabled then scan again.

sys restore is off since install

are your files at 0 bytes also ?

Check out tuneup utilities link in the link thread. install, tuneup diskcleaner, check remove zerobyte files and let her rip

also had 16k in system32 dir lol
