Thanks for reply, yes it's installed to separate folder in "C:\Users\Rob\Desktop\Games\GtkRadiant-1.6.4-20131213" but still has the same problem.
I've also tried 1.4 and this gives me a completely different error message - before radiant even opens it says "This is a version 2 project file. This build only supports <=1 project files. Please choose another project file or upgrade your version of radiant.".
Actually I've just tried version 1.5 and this seems to be working fine, no problems at all. Maybe I'll just use this until next update. Thanks for help though.
EDIT: Even Radiant 1.5 is now having a problem. I have no textures in radiant, so I change quake 3 engine path from "C:/Program Files/Quake III Arena/", to "C:\Users\PC\Desktop\Games\Quake III Arena" (actual game path), then whenever I try to make a brush I get repeat error message:
