Think that's how I remember it.

I thought it was a million just to upgrade your engine.

Well it's 60k to 1mil for cars - 1 mil for the adder. Engine upgrades are only a couple of grand I think.

To get my apartment I went on a grind of finding cars worth around 9k each between holding up corner shops. So the 1.2mil is a pretty big chunk but I think it was initially much lower and R* kept upping it on each delay for those who pre-purchase.

They also done it for the ps3/360 where a shit ton of players were using an exploit to get a ton of money, so R* gave everyone a 500k reward for the update issues. I was a day late on that though, grr.

upgrades range from 2k to 60k depending on how expensive the vehicle is in the first place. 1.2 million in game is a decent chunk of change but won't buy you everything.

There's so much to do in the game I don't get why people pay for shark cards, completely useless unless you're an idiot so good job rockstar on that front, srsly, it's the best approach to DLC I've ever seen in a game. Buying shark cards is absolutely and completely optional. I've never bought one and I've earned roughly 30 million, mostly through racing but with heists out now making money is fairly simple if you have friends that aren't too bad at the game.

Prepare yourself for a huge anticlimax for an ending though.

I'm really liking the game so far overall. The walking/running controls seem a bit sluggish. But the graphics do look really nice.

This game is so good. Online loading times suck big balls right now though. I hope they improve.

From what I've seen they improve based on your internet connection. I've seen some occulus rift videos of this game which is making me consider buying a PC. It's already a lot of fun in first person view but in total VR would be pretty epic.

It doesn't feel like GTA anymore and compared to other first person shooters it feels janky...so why bother.

It works for indoors, in most areas and outside though it's just easier to keep on 3rd person. Being a passenger in a car and using the Uzi is winner though.

I only got time to play the first mission so far and it pretty much feels like GTA IV. So far I really like it

I really suck at this game. I've had it for a while on PS3. There's so much hype going around because of the PC edition, I've decided to pick it up again.

How do I "complete" a stunt jump? There's a ramp near the airport. Do I need to slow down the camera or whatever?

You need to land properly on whatever the jump is pointing towards. The airport ones are tricky I think one you have to land on the sign and the other the top of the ramp?
