Cheers.
Could you explain what is "incredibly biased" interhate?

I might be nice to put this event in simple terms but it is more than a billing error to me.
I used the word absurdity earlier in the email so, perhaps injustice would have been a better choice, so as not to reference acts of terrorism and genocide.
Point taken.

Maybe "error" would be more appropriate.

I forgot to mention, I got a call from the original Manager and then the State Manager Tuesday.

Everyone apologizes but I still don't have my refund.
Silly buggers wanted to send someone for an hour and a half drive to deliver cash :smirk:

My conscience said don't do it! How would I feel if something terrible happened en route.. Why can't they simply transfer (electronically) the money? They take it out easily enough!

I was getting upset so asked the (original) Manager call Monday.

I ask, what would you ask for in consideration given the chance for a stuff up like this? It is a $13.50 refund due last November that's never been processed. I need something sweet to forget

I am thinking dinner for 2, newspapers for a year*, more movie free tickets**

* Did I mention it was the state newpaper?
** Gave me two on my February call

How many hours have you spent trying to get back 13.50?

Apparently when you're retired you have all the time in the world to figure out ways to get free/discounted shit. It's seems almost like an obsession.

I read your refund woes thinking you were just a random lunatic who thought the best way to get a refund was to approach normal human beings as if you were talking to them in the comments of a Youtube channel, but now I see it's for 13.50?

Jesus man, just let it go. Sometimes the fuckers win. Read if by Rudyard Kipling, specifically the third stanza, and reflect on your pettiness.

Yea I gotta say.. $13.50? Not even worth the energy. Time is money. I remember years ago I was injured at work and I refused to deal with the provincial injury claim board because they are fucking inept and I know that from previous experience. So I just completely ignored their barrage of letters, phone calls and forms. Missed out on perhaps $200-300 but I didn't have to waste time dealing with their labyrinth of corporate horseshit, which to me is worth far more!

You realise of course Whiskey is a retired gentleman and likely has more time than he knows what to do with.

Some people are on a fixed income and can use any money they can get their hands on.

No, but we can all choose not to use the Internet as a platform for unrealistic sanctimony and bleeding hearts.

Cry me a river and I'll piss in it for you.

I was not looking for sympathy.

I will advise yesterday I got a telephone call again and was promised, yes promised they'd deposit the refund this day. This morning I checked my bank account and there it is, 23 weeks to the day late !!

See, it can be done overnight :!:

Yes it is only $13.50, not even worth the energy and time is money for certain.

The point I was trying to make is, that despite my time & effort there are people in the world that simply fail at their job miserably.

Some one in this case is/was not doing what they are paid for. I won't stand on a pedestal but I will say I worked hard in and at all my job(s) and don't believe for a millisecond I let anyone down by failing not to do what I was employed for.

Oh and I didn't ask for extras :p

Sorry Whiskey, I wasn't talking about you, mate. I was talking about PuFFNSTuFF and his utterly nauseating sanctimony. I should've quoted him for clarity. You didn't come across as looking for sympathy at all.

Too right! I have always said, don't let the bastards get you down or away with it. It is the principle for sure. I didn't mention earlier but he thanked me for my effort :smirk: and they have now modified the process that failed me. Some consolation for sure as no other soul should fall as I did. I feel better.

Perhaps if I were as shallow as you this would happen.

You should take some of the money you keep bragging about and find yourself a Henry Higgins. It's embarrassing how classless you are.
