Hey ole Bloke, well what'd'ya know.... long time.
I was over your way back in 05, 3 seperate trips, working near Milton Keynes. What a boring area.
My 1st trip out was on July 8th. Do you recall the bombings on the 7th? ...., who wouldnt ? From Heathrow I drove right by the Tavistock Square the day after. I could barely make out what was left of the bus as I passed. What an eerie feeling. The 7th happened to be the 1st day of the UK-hosted G8 summit. Go figure.

Doomy, long time, Bloke, I arrived on the 8th, the day after the bombing. We landed in the eve, at sunset. Our cabby took us to the Marble Arch via A501. We drove right past Tavistock Place and Ill never forget looking to our right and seeing the road lit up like a stadium Clear plastic blocked the view stretching from one side of the street to the other. I recall that all 5 of those explosions happened inside 50 seconds. Go the fuck figure Booger shows up and Londons entire subway system shuts down completely for the 1st time ever...so there I was coming to the UK 1 day after the commencement of the G8 summit in scotland. Next day headed up to Milton Keyens ( what a Boring Shit hole) The only thing that was interesting were my wekends, Bletchly and the enigma machine, Stonehenge, the drive thru Zoo, Hyde park, (U2 was playing 3 days after I had to go home). and so e other places. All in all twas an intersting trip. I had orders to stay away from Soho, although I would have lobed to see all the Hookers, skanks, dope heads and such. Kinda reminds me of a city near me ( Baltimore) theres a place there known as "The Block, aka, North Ave.
I saw many interesting things over there, The round abouts hve gotta be the best traffic intersections ever, beats the hell out of these fucking stop signs over here in the U.S, The Security in London,... Ill never forget it. I've never seen so many cameras at one intersection, let alone at every damn intersection. How many people are sittng on ther asses watching all them monitors ? Reminds me of the Bourne Identity movies. CIA fucks.
Anyway, the UK trips were pretty damn cool. Ill go back over one of these days.
Oh yeah, is Sysop still around or did someone take his ass out...lol. They were some fun times with that crazy fuck. Peace
