When the jig is up things can collapse pretty fucking rapidly, i'd be very surprised indeed if the next version is anywhere near as succesful as the previous one.
You've proved my point. FIFA hasn't failed, a guy just lost his job. Exact same thing. FIFA is a perfect example of something too big to fail, which is why it won't.
.
Wouldnt be so sure about that, the investigation is still on going, they havnt long confiscated data belonging to FIFA and the search is widening. Several of those arrested have already pledged to sing like a bird and as theyre the using the RICO law it could really spell the end for FIFA

If they can find the evidence, which many think they will then game over

I literally have no earthly idea what point you're trying to make. What does fifth gear have to do with what I posted?

I always get the impression that you try to rebut posts just for the sake of rebutting them. FIFA a is the international governing body for the whole of football. Did government collapse after the expenses scandal? Lets revisit this thread in ten years, and if FIFA isn't around, I'll give you a house.

How could you not ?, Top Gear got famous in the late 80s/90s after Clarkson joined the team, bringing it to one of the BBCs most watched shows that lost its audience when Clarkson left for ITV leaving Top Gear re invented as Fifth Gear on C5 with the remaining presenters.

You're talking about a government VS a corporation (or charity), but if we did entertain that discussion then it would be employees fraudulently claiming expenses VS widespread bribery, racketeering, corruption and money laundering that reaches to the head of the business.

If that happened on a parliamentary level, they would get rid of the incumbent government, but another government would take its place. The government will not cease to exist, the same as FIFA wont.

FIFA is a corporation tho, made up of many ruling bodies, kinda like a government but not. If it happened in government the party will probaly be disbanded because no one would ever trust it again, like FIFA, then insert a new party.

Its why i mentioned the important thing, in that this is a RICO case, the law was made to identify corrupt corporations

FIFA could end up being identified as a criminal organisation.

Give it a little time :)

Let's revisit this thread in a year and if it's excellent i'll give you a h... a compliment.

shouldn't every environmental leftist be willing the show to end due to its glorification of an activity that burns fossil fuel, releasing huge amounts of CO2* into the atmosphere and causing the global warming that's going to fuck us all in the long run?

* 31% of total emissions in the US, according to this

just a thought

It's a very valid point.

The show can be a pretty good platform for green cars, May is impressed by a lot of the tech. Clarkson can be a shithead with it and they play off each other pretty well. I think Clarkson in one of his final episodes chose a BMW i8 over its petrol equivilent too, they've always wanted or looked for a viable alternative. It's too big a hobby for a lot of people, others just need cars and I think given the alternative they'd chose it.

I think in the UK it's closer to 25% n all, includes commercial goods, airplanes and public transport n all that too I believe.

Doesn't make it better, just the way it is I spose

No, because those emissions are caused by millions of midclass cars and cannot be attributed solely to the three Bugatti Veyrons and eight Lamborghini's driving around the UK.

They're glorifying driving extremely expensive supercars. I don't associate my driving a Renault Scenic with any of that. I doubt anyone does, except for a few chavs with neon lit GTI's (not Kracus)

Star in a Reasonably Priced Car?

You could argue the more expensive cars are actually more efficient (they are) per 100cc of engine size due to the tolerances they work to.

I'm sure you're playing devil's advocate here, but you have to admit that your line of reasoning is completely irrational.

let me just quote you from a few posts back:
I don't associate my driving a Renault Scenic with any of that. I doubt anyone does...
now who's being irrational? the fact that you don't associate the two things is irrelevant. the president of the NRA might, on the same grounds, say that he 'doesn't associate' widespread gun ownership with high school massacres - and everyone would laugh

you're like one of those people who rubbernecks his way to work every morning, but blames everyone else for all the traffic on the road

Your entire post makes no sense man.

My commute to work is a 7 km bike ride by the way, so yeah, I do blame others for traffic congestions :smirk:

You're comparing the dissonance between joyriding a supercar and driving a midclass to work with a school shooting and gun ownership. If there's one person worthy of receiving a :dork: it's you.
