I'd hit it. If you even can hit them. I'm guessing that based on the males wearing cloths that they do indeed have hardware.

I traveled through roaring blizzards and herds of moose and polar bears to see Avatar. Was awesome.
I was not particularly turned on by the 10' blue aliens mostly because I don't have the cock of a blue whale and am sure I would just get laughed at when I pulled my pants down.

too bad the plot has been done before a million times, other than that, this movie was pretty epic. the 3D effect loses its effect in fast action scenes and only works well at near to still images.
ps
there's something kinda hot about fit 12ft alien chicks

Pretty much every plot has been done a million times. Go ahead and think of a really original one. Bet you're wrong.

loose connections from one plot to the next can be made in many occasions I'm sure, but " sending in someone under cover that turns into one of them " has been beaten over the head to death,in exactly he same manner

Really only the over-arching story was predictable, at least to me. Yes, the boy meets girl, boy falls in love w/ girl, boy changes life for girl, story has been done, but the details are what matters. I really liked it and maintained suspension of disbelief for nearly the entire movie. That's a pretty rare claim for me.

If I'd read this thread in time I'd have said ask him about this:
http://theanimationaddict.blogspot.com/ ... ction.html
I.e. when is he going to do something to do with Gunnm/Battle Angel Alita and isn't it unfair to people who like the story to buy up all the rights to it, then do nothing with it for years, so nothing gets made based on it for years and years?
Also, (Avatar question) having gone to great lengths to make the world of Avatar based on science in great detail, is there a scientific explanation for the bl;ue skin of the aliens?

So kinda like a game where your some guy/girl that needs to shoot some people/things in first person for some reason?

Oh well, stupid friend didn't ask him any questions I prepared for him. She just talked about how great he is.

so, is this movie the disneyfied high-concept low-braincell Dances With Smurfs that it appears to be?

I think the real3d glasses are way too dark and they didn't compensate for this where we went to see it so, IMO, there was a loss of shadow detail.

And the bump mapping was horrible. [/odicunt]
The RealD 3D glasses are very dorky looking...basically Elvis Costello dorky.

Finally watched it a couple of hours ago, not in 3d. I have to agree agree with fender, story was very predictable imo and some small but very weird things in it i will not go into due to spoilers. But i too still enjoyed it thoroughly, if mostly because of the visual aspect and the whole world you're being submerged in. Very impressive to me even in 2d. I certainly can imagine this being just awesome in imax.
And yeah, sarge was definately there.
