Re: Time for a new project...a pool...
The pool turned out good. You might want to hire a landscaper or consultant for advice.
Re: Time for a new project...a pool...
take a 360 picture from that location, so we can better assess the overall feel of the situation. .
depends on what direction you want to go with this. if you remove the tree, it can give you a feel of openness, or it can make it feel bare naked... kinda like those cheap motel pools next to a highway. there really is no simple answer... do you enjoy the view behind that tree? if you do, I say cut it.. but if the view is mostly shit around the swimming season, I would suggest even placing more trees around the pool, to create a feeling of a hidden private oasis.
does it provide any useful shade in key locations in the swimming season? or does it just shit leaves?

I like the chairs to the right of the pool so people can sit and enjoy staring at the above ground wall.

Re: Time for a new project...a pool...
I pruned that hackberry at the bottom. The space had the feeling of being completely closed off... Cuz it was. But we are on the top of a ridge so cept for that one house which faces away from our place, and is a vacation home... the tree offers no privacy. 0 shade 365.... Morons around here pay $250k plus round here for views like this so I think I know what needs to be done... My wife is a retard though so...
Re: Time for a new project...a pool...
Aldo... Landscapers and consultants are morons... I can do better... Every time...
