At work, we're dealing with this guy who is insisting that we (OSU's online course building team) don't know what we're doing with our extended (online) courses provided with blackboard/webCT, and so he asks for $50,000 to start building two courses for 2006... he wants to do them because we aren't fitting his creative vision for his classes... 1. Online Guitar classes, 2. Online welding classes.
The best part isn't even that he'd be asking hundreds of people right in front of their computers to light their acetylene torches- it's that his course pages look like geocities websites, changing font colours every sentance, default size 14 font, black background, random animations, I expected him to type before every announcement "Mood: Dark

SHU put up a new student portal based off blackboard this semester, and it's an improvement over the old blackboard implementation, but overall blackboard still feels hackish and shitty to use.
