looks interesting...

Edit: If you go to interactive, you can listen to the entire sound track (or at least samples of all the songs)...I like the soundtrack too.

it's comming to theatres very soon Wabbit.

a screener is a dvd that is given to say people who vote a the emmy awards. they get a first hand look at the movie just in case they miss the nomination deadline.

someone then releases this on the net .. very illegal that's why we don't talk about it at q3w

some movies are watermarked so they know where the dvd came from.

pretty boring new years .. i can't wait to get back Africa :(

pffft Pan's Labyrinth looks shit anyway. The best movies coming out this year will be Spider-Man 3, Shrek The Third, Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, The Simpsons Movie, and Transformers.

Ahh, I didn't know what a screener was. Thanks for edumacating meh Ax :D

@Law: I loved the first Shrek but I didn't really like the second one much. I thought it was boing. I will go see the third one though and keep my fingers crossed.

I've liked all the Harry Potter movies and I'm looking forward to seeing the Order of the Phoenix. The "kids" in this movie are getting a little long-in-the-tooth though.

I'm hoping the third Pirates movie is better than the second one was. I was disappointed in the second movie...it just kinda stopped.

/shrug.

Doesn't matter. I'm not being sarcastic. :p

If the animation looks like it was done well on the Transformers movie, I'll go see that too. I love good animation.

Is there still some kind of movie-interest-equals-maturity-level bias thing going on?

no no no.
there's just been a lot of talk about how the 2nd pirates sucked balls, and some (not all) of those other titles seem a bit commercialized and formulaic compared to Pan's...not bad movies though.

Yeesh. Bad NYE memories? Fuck. I stopped drinking for 3.5 years. I had been convinced that I was an alcoholic (at 17), never did quite believe it. At any rate, I decided that I wanted a beer one winter's night while home from uni. This was 1991, I believe. So, I had a few with my buddy, it was no big deal. So, come New Year's Eve, I went to a party loaded for bear. Got two pints of vodka and a six pack, all for me. Now, to the regular drinker this may not seem like much, but recall that I had had six beers in almost four years. Went to a buddy's house and killed the first of my pints, then we went to a killer party where a friend's band was playing. I drank all my beers, the remaining vodka and several more beers. I was absolutely incapacitated, blind drunk. I remember ending up in the back of my buddy's Volvo, so drunk I couldn't find the handle to open the door to puke. I recall just how shitty it felt to be grasping blindly for the door handle, with absolutely zero ability to find it, let alone operate it. Yeah, I barfed all over the floor of his car. :olo: Then I passed the fuck out.
Shit night.

that's my boy :)

just afterchristmas one time i had plans to go to my buddies house for some drinks but i decided to start early.
tore into my 40 ponder around 3 pm and passed out.i woke up later remembering i had to go to my freinds house so i ran out the door minutes after waking.
i banged on my freinds door and he never answered so i banged harder ..no answer.
so i went back to my place ..went to open the door and i had no keys ..i left them inside. i lived in a rooming house but no one would answer the door.
so i went uptpwn for awhile and looked in a window and it was 4:00 AM.
went back to my place ..banged on the door for hours .i froze my butt off outside till someone finally let me in.

I can't drink. I never could find the "sweet spot" with it. I'd start to drink and the next thing I knew, I'd be blacking out drunk. It was horrible.

I hated falling asleep and waking up the next day still so drunk I could hardly stand. Not worth it.

Holy shit! Wtf is wrong with you? I'm all about the beer, but I've never blacked out. Unfortunately I can recall every single stupid thing I've ever done. :olo:

i hate beer. always have.
dunno why, but every beer i drink tastes bitter as hell to me unless I am already drunk from hard liquor.

Beer was the cheap way to keep me drunk once I was hammered.

i haven't been drunk in a long time and highly doubt i ever will again .. i can honestly say i have never had a good experience drunk and for me there has always been consequences beyond simply having a hangover.
it may be genetic .. i have a brother in jail and another just lost his wife and kids .. the whole family, uncles, aunts cannot handle booze.

I've become a total beer snob. I used to drink Bud and Michelob when I was in HS and broke. Now I indulge in the finest microbrews and high-octane Belgian delicacies. You need to develop a taste for the good stuff, and drink it as a cornersewer.

Try some Duvel.
