Is that what this place is about? Having a sticky thread to single out someone and have a bashfest in GD? Whether he has said some things in the past that aren't true or not is irrelevant. The guy just likes to come on here and talk about video games and voice his opinion. Who cares about that other shit. Ffs...

Well i will be doing some "work" for a dev studio soon so i wonder if i will be counted as being "in the industry?"

That being said, what O'dium does do is good. I think his work on he Q2 game is quality, even if other don't think so.

Haha, in that case I've worked in the industry. Especially the bit about the butts.

I will now await my coronation and qualification to talk complete shit about video games.

not really.
o'dium seems to be dropping major hints that he is capable of something more than modding Q2, so people were asking exactly what.

If only you knew mate ;) If only you knew.
I don't know what he meant by that and I didn't ask him to clarify because I don't care.

Well for starters, the characters will be limited to 36 frame 6x6 sprites in a 16-bit palette, using a black and white mask system. There will be no firing animations in Unreal 16, nor engine glow on the players as the engine does not support it. There will also be a maximum of 256 missions, and no character can have more than 32,767 units of any stat as hard-coded by the engine. UnrealEd will no longer function, it will be replaced by ResEdit with a specially made template. You will be able to make maps for multiplayer, but if it's anything like Bolo 1.6, the maps will be easily created with a palette tool much like using KidPix, though 16 bases and 16 pillboxes must be present on every map.

VirtualMunge lets you rewrite the script for the mandatory bases on a map to any divisible of 2.

In o'dium's defense... he can be a big ego when it comes to criticizing games, but his texturing work is pretty decent. And I don't think he writes engines himself or claims to do so (as far as I could see). The Quake 2 Evolved engine was completely written by Berserk, not o'dium. He only did the texturing and shader scripts for the effects as far as I'm aware.

He does definitely need to take a step back when it comes to voicing his opinion on other games though, or his head will explode at some time.

any minute now...
Nice troll, semencan, but still - as usual - you fail.

To clarify the whole meaning of this thread: o'dium more than hints at his expertise in game engines in practically every single post. It's his whole attitude that made me create this thread.

And, of course, You are allowed to voice your ancient opinion on cards, PCs and everything else too, even if You're too dumb to have learned the slightest thing about them in general.

Get ot, o'ancient one?

lol, the ancient one is desperate and is using the Methyd "stealth owning"-technique ("Hahahah, You wrote an ENTIRE post about ME!! Hahaha! On a message board! Hahaha!") And rest assured, semencan: o'dium read this thread.

Sorry, I win again.

Actually...it's an epic crushing if the weasel can't even reply to this thread.

Your trolling is getting lazy, old one.
