Bleh! This is a nightmare and i can see Bluray winning which is a kick in the cunt when you consider the amount of HD DVD's i have acquired
Well I guess I will just get Sky HD and fucking getting a HD DVD player for the time being...though i do have HD DVD's and a tidy player is only £180...

I would just like to point out that Blu Ray hasonly just managed to get PIP tech into its line up where as HD DVD as had it since it was released. Really, is everyone stupid and enjoying using inferior and over priced technology?!?
Cheapest stand alone Blu Ray player is £350
You can get a PS3 for £299
Cheapest stand alone HD DVD player is £180 for a full 1080p one (you can get cheaper 1080i ones)
You can get the xbox player for £99
What in the name of fuck is going on?!

there's rumors about MS trying to kill off HD-DVD as well in favor of downloads. but i just guess that's the MS geoff's at work.
As for BR content there is more, but it's all shit IMO. And has for expansion 3D-DVD is on it's way and again it's just a production line upgrade, not new manufacturing lines.
On paper HD-DVD is the better format in terms of marketability, i just think Sony's money and marketing machine is doing a great job.
I personally think HD-DVD will win over BR and lets not forget, sony always seen to fuckup on stuff like this.

HD-DVD v.s. Blu-Ray
"whoever wins, we lose"
"whoever wins, we lose"
Re: Warner Bros. goes Blu-Ray exclusive

It looks like if WB and Fox had gone HD, the balance might have come out with more than half of production co's using HDDVD.Fender wrote:
Who is the "BDA" in Donnie's article there? Is that just a front group Sony has put together, or is that a consortium of other interested companies supporting BR or what?

I call bullshit.hdvdfanboidotcom wrote:Please note - This web site was started and is maintained entirely by individuals who just love HD DVD. Unlike most "fan sites" on the Bluray side, we are NOT sponsored or bought by any of the companies involved in the "format wars".
