Re: So... Who got what?
Flu, the gift that just keeps giving
MGS4
CDs
Sony DAB radio
Crumpler big cheese backpack
Fishing trolley
Monies
Bombay Safire and wines
Dancing wall-e mp3 thing
I never ask for anything, normally my other half has to keep asking what I want until I can think of something.
Apart from the flu, I’m happy.

My GF gave me Guitar Hero World Tour. Awesome.
Re: So... Who got what?
I was allowed to buy a new monitor, a new case, a new keyboard, an fm transmitter for the iPod in the car because we're too cheap to get the stock system replaced, and DSL service to replace the dysfunctional Rogers service we deal with. I did also get some gift certificates to help me get more stuff (a new coat, mainly).
My wife took the kids to Russia for nearly three weeks and left me all alone in the house to play with my new stuff. Merry Christmas indeed :-)

i've had more probs with bells DSL then rogers, and rogers only crapped out on me 5 times in i think almost a decade if not more.

Re: So... Who got what?
got charged an additional $25 last month for blowing the cap out of the water. spend $55 / month (+$10) on increasing the cap to 95G, with the same penalty for going over, or spend $40 (-$5) on getting service with no cap.SoM wrote: where u at with the fucked up rogers service ?
not sympatico, teksavvy. i had problems with sympatico like a decade ago. so i used my mom as a guinea pig in the summer, and had her sign up for teksavvy first. everything went amazing, she hasn't had an issue despite being in a smallish town, and the support people don't make you feel like you're in a dystopia.SoM wrote: i've had more probs with bells DSL then rogers, and rogers only crapped out on me 5 times in i think almost a decade if not more.
Re: So... Who got what?
i spend $44.95/month + have my own modem and i never go over cap even tho i download shit loads.
isnt Mazda with teksavvy?

Re: So... Who got what?
well, my cap is only 60G a month. that's not working for me. if it was just the dns bullshit that rogers pulls, i could get by that with opendns. but the download cap is just not going to work.SoM wrote:i spend $44.95/month + have my own modem and i never go over cap even tho i download shit loads.
that's what i gather. everyone who's ever been with them (that i've talked to) has had nothing bad to say about them at all.SoM wrote:isnt Mazda with teksavvy?
Re: So... Who got what?
I have nothing but good things to say about TekSavvy. $29.99/month for 5Mb (getting 4.2Mb), 200GB transfer cap and no bullshit, service fees, or hidden costs. Their HQ's in Chatham so if you call in they'll actually *gasp* speak English. Their CEO and techies are also active on the DSLreports forum.
