People are stupid. It's a shocker.
Sadly most women don't get told about this stuff...or at least they didn't. I think they do as part of a driving test now.

It is something I noticed in high school already (even more so in college). For some reason, the default-goto behavior for quite a few girls when something seemed challenging was to not make any attempt to understand it (because, you know, being brainy is not girly enough), but they'd rather repeatedly ask for help. The whole "I'm a girl so I could not possibly understand this" attitude annoyed the fuck out of me.
