I was filling my tyres and a woman asked me for help

Post by phantasmagoria »

So I helped her. She had never checked the pressure of her tyres before and was worried they maybe needed filling up after a few years of owning her car and thought one of the wheels looked a bit low. It was down down to 7psi and the others were all around 15. I told her she was going to have to probably replace them after running them all basically flat and on the rims and she just looked at me like I was trying to con her out of money.

"I don't know these things because I'm a woman" to which my response was that it isn't anything to do with your gender, it's to do with stupidity. I then left her to it.

How the fuck do these people get out of bed in the morning without injuring themselves, let alone pass a driving test and be let loose on public roads. Jesus Christ. :dork:

Goodness knows!

As you said, it isn't anything to do with the gender of the person, it's plain dumb stupidity and it seems sadly too easily displayed on the road.

Eg. I was driving on the highway at the speed limit and in the right hand lane (we drive on the LHS here) just the other day and some ratbag came from nowhere up behind me very quickly. Obviously exceeding the speed limit to get there and then expects me to get out of his way. No lights or sirens mind you. He flashed his lights a couple of times and I saw him motion with both hands off the steering wheel for me to speed up. He too could see nowhere for me to move to.

Anyway, within seconds while I was trying (a little to find a hole in the left lane - everyone travelling at the speed limit mind you) we had slow to 80kph for road works.

Just plain dumb stupidity and I hope he DIAF! Problem is, he has probably already fathered feral children :smirk:
