The flat Earth theory wasn't it?

Yes, in part and from the link..
........ the triumphant rocketeer's future plans include building a "Rockoon," which sounds like an air-launched rocket that involves a balloon instead of a plane and is apparently intended to get him high enough into the air to test his Flat Earth theory (68 miles, well above the breathable atmosphere and the Armstrong Limit where all bodily fluids would boil away in an unpressurized environment).
We saw 'Earth curvature' here. Remember?

Well, I refer to my post earlier in this thread:
Eraser wrote:Indeed.
But people are also saying he isn't a flat earther at all but couldn't find anyone to finance his rocket and simply tried to lure flat earthers int paying for it.
Doesn't mean he's not a nut job though

Hmm, nice job if he's not a flat earther and got the cash. I'd think it would be tough getting the money out of 'em and mounting a steam powered rocket in any case.

Felix had the look of someone who thought he was going to die when he landed.

Well, it happened. He met his maker:
Daredevil and Flat Earth theorist Michael "Mad Mike" Hughes died Saturday in a rocket crash. Hughes, 64, wanted to prove the Flat Earth theory by taking photographs of the Earth from a homemade rocket.

I wonder if he ever did perfect the steam propulsion technology.

The rest of the flat-earthers are going to say this was a conspiracy to prevent the truth from coming out....

Funniest thing about that is many people saying he wasn't a flat earther at all but conned them into believing he was so they could finance his project.

the dinosaurs didn't all die in one day. Modern archaeology and geology suggests it took many hundreds of millions of years of climate change and even after the asteriod still another couple million years before they were all gone.

Human beings forget, darwinism works, it's just that it works very slowly.

Flat Earthers will go extinct too. Just not slowly on a human scale. It's gonna take some time to kill 'em.
