The alternative to microwaving protestors is killing them?

This is going to be used for crowd control.

Worse, if it's got no short-term effects but causes cancer, it'll be used on progressively less dangerous crowds, and 50 or so years down the line thousands of people die from the cancer it caused.

So what's the deal? Protest and we'll shorten your life and provide a slow, agonising death? Sounds humanitarilicious!

i'm not so sure about "crowd control"

if the army would get hands on a usefull area of efect pain weapon (enough time to rush in with some marines), they'd use it, i think.
