Is it a fact that Q4 will use hitboxes again instead of per-poly detection?

If the netcode and demos aren't at least close to the same as Q3 (as far as performance), then Q4 will be as big a flop as D3 MP was.

Still, I'm getting all excited thinking it might be around the corner. :icon32:

It's a Quake mod for DOOM 3 that costs $50.

Edit: As long as the hitboxes are low poly versions of the main model. We don't need any of this shit where you shoot TankJr and it goes right through him.

Also, headshots for fucks sake. At least put it in as an option. Hell, keep the damage the same for every hitbox, but tag them differently so modders can, if they want to, make it so if you're hit in the leg, you'll run all gimpy (I hate that feature of new games, but if a mod wants it, let them do it easily) and if they shoot someone's head with a powerful weapon like the railgun, it's a headshot.

headshots don't belong in quake...too gimmick and it would only force the skilless noobs to hide behind crates and zoom for headshots.

All i care about is MP. If its as fun at q2 or q3 then its win, if its not, then its lose. I hope its great, i want raven to succed and revisit heretic. im dying for blade matches on the doom3 engine :drool: :drool: :drool:
